Different realities
I could not do my speech in Budapest directly due to the neurological issue with my voice. So I decided to try to make my point during the Euro-SPES conference using video. My topic was about ethics and how we tend to use different criteria for good and bad, depending on the context of our reflections. I used examples out of my personal life. But most importantly the awareness and practical proof that the existential values represented by Sustainocracy represent a unifying force, also in the field of applied ethics.
Here is my reflection during that beautiful aniversary of a scientific community with a global presence.
Why is air so important to us?
This question I got from people whom we addressed to participate in the AiREAS, healthy city and regional development initiative. We see a healthy, unpolluted environment as a shared responsibility that involves everyone. Since recently we also involve the educational system, from primary schools to universities, to create overall awareness about the importance of unpolluted air. In our current societal functioning the aspect of human values, such as health and healthy air, have often disappeared from our list of priorities. Building awareness helps us to restore this share responsibility and develop our sustainable wellness accordingly.
