The four entrepreneurial questions we ask ourselves when we set up a 21st century initiative
The 21st century is unique in our history of entrepreneurship. Our entrepreneurial mission has transformed. Within the core human values driven democracy, referred to as Sustainocracy, we create innovative value continuously, together with a large diversity of partners. These innovations did not exist before because they address issues that have reached our awareness and need for change to produce sustainable human and societal progress. Once available they become of economic and political interest due to the trade-ability and transformative characteristics of each innovation in multiple formats and with many trade supporters. We have called this way of working the 4 x Win discipline since we ask ourselves four basic, values driven questions:
First: What does our entrepreneurship contribute to the wellness of the human being?
This is a difficult and transformative question. In our current care driven economies we try to make people dependent on services, social securities and technologies out of political or economic interests. Entrepreneurship is hence an economic instrument, not humanitarian even if we try to convince ourselves it is. As a consequence people become less alert, lazy, subordinate, disengaged and non-productive. We tend to take away their self reflection, creativity and wit to favor our own financial wellness. This is not the 21st century entrepreneurship.
Our entrepreneurship is not a money driven occupation, it is core human values driven, creative and meaningful. Collective self-sufficiency is a core human value in Sustainocracy in which people do meaningful things in and for the community that fullfill basic and general needs. So our entrepreneurship should help people be able to take responsibility for their own quality of life rather than taking it away from them. We then see their health, their engagement and productivity increase which is good for them, society and the economy. Our entrepreneurship is hence focused on helping people create their own wellness.
Second: How do we contribute to society?
Also this is a difficult one to answer. Who are we trying to please? In our current society the public dominance is mastered by political and economic interests. Our Sustainocratic foundation however is focused on our human values. This represents a different kind of accountability for both the citizens, governance and entrepreneurship. When the 5 core human values are respected than the society itself will be resilient to all kinds of issues. We therefor need to enhance society from a core values point of view, not political or economic. Then we see that politics and economics show interest and start relating to the sustainocratic values to sustain themselves and their initiatives. Which is good. So by being creative in the field of core human values we also gradually transform the political and economic discourse. We contribute to social cohesion, public engagement and political and economic management of wellness. In fact we created a leadership movement of change within a managed culture of political economic conservatism.
Third: How does our natural environment benefit?
Our current lifestyle and political economic steering produce pollution, destruction of our natural habitat and the restroing capabilities of our environment. In fact we are a parasite of our host, planet Earth. Our entrepreneurship is hence focused on turning this around to become a symbiotic partner of the environment of which we are part and of which we depend. How do we deal with innovation to take away, avoid and eliminate our polluting activities? How do we use natural resources in a cyclic way? What can we learn from our living environment that presents solutions which took over 4 billion years to evolve and often show must better results than whatever our human wit can come up with. Whatever we do in our entrepreneurial spirit it should not damage but heal and interact with our natural reality.
Fourth: How do we generate enough money as means for our continuity?
Within our entrepreneurial processes we distinguish two clear patterns. The first one is the creative part of thinking of meaningful innovations that make a difference within our Sustainocratic mission. Since we create something that cannot be bought, simply because it does not exist yet, we can only invest in our venture. As we use our 4xWin method to guide us we enter the path of other entrepreneurial members of society who have no business interests but do have societal or environmental challenges (government) or intellectual interest (universities) to deal with. Business partners are interested in participating to see if they can lay hands of the innovations to include them in their commercial activities as soon as they become visible and tangible. In this phase these partners invest money and their own talented contribution to effectively design our innovations. Money is a means here.
As soon as the innovations come to existence they have a number of properties that can be fragmented again among the participating partners: new products, services, policy modifications, new knowledge and experiences, educational values, etc. All these can be incorporated in economic patterns of social cost savings as well as business development. Each enlargement of the use of the innovations contributes to both the economic growth as well as the overall global change for resilience. Money is again a means to provide continuity through new investment patterns or the creation of an innovation fund (royalties or donations) for continuity of both the 4xWin processes as the continuous delivery of meaningful entrepreneurship. Our innovative drive is therefore the main attractive force for the diversity of partners to participate with investment of resources and financial means.
4xWIN as mirroring tool
We have now noticed that employees, stakeholders and investors start using the 4xWin criteria to see if the company they work for (or with) is producing integral value. If not than people ask themselves if they want to work there or invest in it? Salary or divident is often not enough anymore and people want to get reassurance of their own meaningful contribution to society and the multiple positive reciprocity of their engagement.
Healing people and society through Sustainocracy
The City of Tomorrow initiative in Eindhoven (Netherlands) has reached a point in which social inclusion, integration and innovation is addressed, referred to as COS3I. This engagement attempt to involve large amounts of socially and economically isolated citizens into the core human values development of our new society has reached a surprising point of attention: the human field of emotions.
It has been scientifically proven that emotions don’t only change our points of view. They also change the physical nature of our own surroundings, including even our own DNA. Positive energy has therefore a very powerful effect on people, it brings about the best in them, makes them productive, interactive with each other and emotionally capable of healing negative attitude and even health issues. Furthermore the positive drive gives positiveness back in the format of abundance.
When we started to address these issues we needed to learn how to deal with the diversity of emotions related to our own and the current meanstream attitude (often very selfish, narrow minded, individualistic with apathy and lack of motivation), the potential of changing mentalities and dealing with hurtful experiences in people’s lifes. The latter could be the possible cause of their isolation in the first place. This became significant because in our own case such emotional issues had been our own motivation to actually start our initiatives. Sustainocracy for instance is the consequence of my own traumatic experiences both in marriage, changing country with the related culture shocks and dealing with money driven governance. Having solved my issues with governance and culture through the positive introduction of Sustainocratic processes the remaining issue in me was how to deal with my broken marriages and my disturbed relationship with women.
Casually COS3I was set up by me and a nice looking woman. The personal interaction opened up the box of Pandora in me. The struggle got me out of my rational routines and artificial comfort zone, within the rollercoaster of emotions. Fear, love, care, interests, greed, etc came by and my system needed to react to come to terms with myself. My personal chaos was enough to upset me for weeks. I communicated my experiences extensively through blogs and Facebook. To my surprise I received hundreds of messages back of people who were going through a similar process of letting go old scars and healing themselves from old or new pains. They were pleased that I raised the issue openly and transparently. Many were people I worked with on a regular basis and I had no idea. We live in a culture in which emotions are dealt with in private with terrible consequences. This was going to change. I was determined as this group process was helping me heal faster than anything else. My female COS3I partner disconnected from me but kept in touch with COS3I by feeding me with some contacts.
Another very attractive woman, younger still and very good looking, suddenly connected with me and a proved to be a gift from heaven. She became the ultimate councillor, replacing the first seemlessly with the difference that with her I could relate with better control over all the disturbing emotions.
She is gifted with very powerful spirituality, connecting to the universal energy of healing. It was a very special experience to deal with her and settle my inner confusion about the material world in relation to women (connecting through real meaning or just from frustrated sexuality and romance point of view?). With this very vibrant, open and pure personality it was not more than ethical for me to focus on my meaningful relationship with her. With the first partner I could address COS3I locally in a powerful way (if she decided to join me again) but this special woman could set the pace for a global movement connecting complex spiritual meaning and organizational action. I became illuminated by both:
- my own weakness, old damages and necessary healing patterns to establish a situation of equality between the masculine and feminine energy streams for effective and powerfull positive energy multiplication between the two.
- the true meaning of female universal regeneration energy, with the healing powers in relation to Sustainocracy as a societal cocreation model. Both complement eachother but are not the same. The feminine stream feeds the masculine one of Sustainocracy with endless universal meaning.
New participants were primarily women trying to connect with me to see if we could meet up and talk. Open transparent dialoog was very helpful for me and these people. At the same time the scope of our initiative grew despite the differences I had with my fellow initiator of COS3I. This showed that the energies are not necessarily personalized but channeled through multiple persons. This does not exclude one or the other but leaves room for people to heal themselves in their own processes and engage when they are ready. New projects appeared from people who connected their talents after connecting their emotions first. Amazing!

The awareness breakthrough is a real, memorable point in a person’s life
My own model for the human complexity (above) shows two lines of interaction for sustainable human progress: the moral/ethical line of “to be”, a highly femine line for change, awareness, renewal. And the active, organizational line of “to be”, highly masculine, results driven, growth oriented. The interference and engagement of women, both at the practical end of COS3I as well as the mirroring advisory part for me, became a new source of illumination. The feminine energy, the energy of the emotions, had been poorly developed in the City of Tomorrow, retained by my own blockages. Now they started to disappear. I myself was healing. My diet started to change, I could live suddenly without pain tablets for my problems with ligaments, and my lifestyle transformed further. Also my relationship with women developed positively at a rapid pace.
We got acquainted with 100’s of emotion driven initiatives in town and all we needed to do is try to connect those to COS3I rather than trying to reinvent the wheel over and over again. In fact, my founding female colleague had mentioned such a thing before but I had never listened enough. I now remember but I could not yet give it an organizational (masculine) basis back then. Now suddenly I can and events are being started in which we don’t organize anything ourselves but get the COS3I target groups to deal with the challenges of organizing the events themselves, healing themselves as they develop their challenges. The positive feminine energy is transforming society and the attitude as well as involvement of people. Lifestyle is not just a rational issue but an emotional one, especially when drama converts into opportunity.
In a short time the doors opened again of government, businesses, schools, etc. They all wanted to be part of it despite their own pains to get engaged. They needed the open freedom and space too to be able to react and heal their own historical and present pains. Sustainocracy is proving to be the environment for the open, transparent and creative dialogue, the reflection about core human values and the individual, group and societal healing mechanism from within.

The sustainocratic ventures
A new era has started for me and also for the City of Tomorrow. A healed, open and complete era I assume, with a lot to learn still and exciting perspectives ahead. Social integration started with ourselves and now we can again apply our experiences to the field. Instead of addressing the action we first address the emotions. A new world for us.
Happiness puppet, a gift for our sponsors
Sustainocracy is a global movement that invites us all to become accountable for the quality of life of ourselves and all human beings with resilience of our communities through the guidance of 5 core conditions for sustainable human progress. Our interaction is based on talented and multidisciplinary commitment in innovation processes that reward us this resilience and quality of interaction and. Our foundation is not subsidized by any organization since we avoid steering by political and economic interests. This does not mean that we don’t need money. Money for us is a means, not a goal, just like commitment, talents, technology, wisdom, knowledge, etc.
Often people ask us what they can contribute? Our primary wish is their participation in our processes. Often this is not possible due to other obligations, old age, disabilities, distance or whatever. Their way to participate is then through gifts of money. To show our gratitud we send our happiness puppet.
The puppet is made of waste materials and was designed by Mireille Muisje. The production is concentrated in awareness sessions of our COS3I initiatives of Social Integration.
If you want to receive such a puppet that carries our blessings for you and a better, wellness driven world, just let us know, send us your voluntary sponsoring and your address through jp@stadvanmorgen.com.
