City food security report

School of Talents is learning movement of the City of Tomorrow (STIR Foundation) in which students develop theories and new practical environments between our current fragile reality and the societal resilience provided by Sustainocracy.

Two students of Avans Highschool in Breda (Netherlands), Ibren and Fernando, joined the School of Talents to do their final year practical within environmental science. Their choice was to analyse the food resilience within cities and the need, potential and impediments of urban farming. Their report is highly inspirational and valuable for food labs, urban farming, technological innovation and governance. For STIR and the School of Talents the report is a solid foundation for establishing innovative circular food systems in the cities and develop new participative learning activities for new students. Here you find the index:

The management summary will be available free of charge. The full report is only available to the investors and sponsors of the School of Talents. People, business or governance that wish to engage into working on local food resilience can contact us.

The student Ibren will publically present and defend their findings in the School of Talents audience on August 14th at 15:00 in the aquaponics center of Eindhoven. Student Fernando wishes to continue the research for his own bachelor degree and expects to focus on the complexity of nutrients in circular city food systems.

Equality, solidarity and love

Again the world is shocked by the events in Kabul, London and many other places. When we study the miracle of life at molecular or even smaller level we arrive at energetic patterns that we have associated with those intense feelings referred to as “love”. This largely inexplicable sensation unites molecules, people and species in a symbiotic bond for sustainable evolutionary progress. Over time people developed stories and rituals around it in an attemped to name the bonding as an act of a universal God. The diversity of these stories, captured in religious formats, is a blessing that unites people and establishes care, compassion and warm connectivity through habbits, festivities and rituals.

The beauty of this diversity of group unification is disturbed by people who use this diversity as a differentiation and judgement, often with self interests as motivator to create fear, disconnection, hate and chaos. Such conditions of instability may serve their specific evil interests over the back of our natural quest for peace and stability. There is only one way to address this attack on our natural wellness:

  • We mourn our losses through moments of silence and reflection,
  • We actively show equality, compassion and love by gathering and hugging each other publically no matter where we come from, what story we adhere to or how we stand in life. When it comes to safety and harmony we are in it together.

At 16.00 we gather to make this statement, no matter where we are in the world and repeat this as often as we need to show evil that love only strengthens when it shows its face.

School of Talents proves to be motor of new age startups

When I started to challenge students in universities or high schools to help me develop a healthy city from their study perpective all kinds of entrepreneurial ideas appear. In the School of Talents we work them out into societal relevance with target community groups. New startup business develop appears as soon as large groups of people start connecting to the persuasive invitaion to do something with their own quality of life.

Healthy city development is just one aspect of Sustainocratic resonance and accountability. If we take all the 5 core conditions then a totally new wave of 100’s of new products and services appear. We even refer to this new kind of entrepreneurship as the 4 x profit paradigm.

School of Talents is not an institution, it is a peer 4 awareness driven cocreative movement. It positions itself in the pioneersphase of a new psycho-social age that is deploying itself among our global citizenship.  It is a participative educational format in which students and tutors together experiment with a new reality in four different phase:

  • vision: when students and adults get acquainted with the logic of the core conditions for sustainable regional and human progress then visions appear about “how things could or should be”.
  • pioneership: visions can be worked out into workable initiatives that have a potential societal impact.
  • persuasion: the initiatives are tested among target groups of citizens until a positive resonance is found. Economy is often seen as a trade driven activity of growth but for entrepreneurial pioneers it is a proof of concept. When people are willing to pay for something than it fullfils a need not just an ideological vision, it receives societal support.
  • marketing: as soon as a connection is made with the public investment routines then the persuasion phase develops into the traditional marketing activities of businesss development.

At this stage the School of Talents lets go and celebrates the “new ripe apple that falls from the sustainocratic tree”.  Schools of Talents are appearing in many places where people find inspiration in the core values and working methods of Sustainocracy. They all form a new age network of global cooperation sharing innovations and best practice among each other.
