Knowledge is human right

Basic education is now slowly reaching all people across the world even though too many are still deprived. More dramatic is the situation of access to higher levels of education. These are only available to those who can afford it. This is changing with a growing number of internet initiatives. About time!

The state of awareness of humankind through knowledge accumulation via scientific research and common social reflective evolution should not be registered as property of a single person or institution, nor should it be economized for the highest bidders only. This causes an unnatural and manipulated selection of wisdom connected to greed and speculation while intelligence resident in material poverty remains unused in human evolutionary progress. This unbalance can be the cause of future unrest and potential war due to inequality in perceiving the world’s complexities, rightful claims for universal justice and mere quests for survival.

All knowledge should hence be available to every single human being in the world and universe, not just in a sense of practical availability but also in a workable reflective format throughout living life, with support and guidance of the top intellectuals at any time. Internet is such means that can be used to establish such accessibility. However not all people in the world have access to the electronics needed to make use of it. And if they do there needs to be an unmanipulated access to as many sources of information as available, structured along worldviews and paradigms that help people make up their own mind around sustainable progress, not just through personal trial and error but also by allowing the positioning of their search along the line of consciousness towards higher awareness.

Knowledge may become then nearly free of charge but should never be freed of progressive responsibility. People are always challenged to make practical use the knowledge obtained in their lives and reflect back for forward progression. Rationalization into awareness and consciousness only occurs when situations are lived through emotionally in real and simulated life (ie. through sport, games, etc). It are the multiple types of emotions that trigger the cognitive processes that can be enhanced with knowledgeable guidance breaking though eventually into the fifth dimension of higher awareness. Every living soul on Earth should have such life long learning environment.

The world would gain support for world peace and human progress, jumping into a new era of cooperative interaction based on talent. Wisdom as a human evolutionary right will make a difference that is unprecedented in history. It is made possible thanks to the state of educational progress today, initiated and manipulated in origin by pure material interests (educating people for simple work in factories). Now that this period is left behind us with all the obvious benefits it brought humankind, its time for a new step. Letting go of this phase of “having” we enter a new one, in which spirituality “the being” is a new science to be explored, not from a dogmatic religous point of view (which is also based on the manipulation of the unaware), but by giving true meaning to our existance through higher levels of individual awareness, interconnected to create a new kind of collective consciousness and related social progressive complexities.

We learn in cyclic patterns

Our cyclic learning shows an upward spiral under the right circumstances

Sustainocracy is a pioneers phase of such type of society where multidisciplinary cooperative ventures need to be built around commonly available scientific and spiritual wisdom to succeed. It provides a transformative challenge to us all, individually and institutionally where it is in the interest of all that no one is excluded. A new society is born based on “the being” with talent developing progressively through forward reflection and instant educational guidance.

Working all together for human progress

Education is one of the four pillars of sustainable human progress

The STIR foundation wants to be a transformative portal to this new world, making knowledge available to everyone, everwhere, not just in theory yet also opening sustainocratic processes up for everyone’s involvement and reciprocity. Also those that share their knowledge should receive reciprocal means back that cover and go beyond food and shelter. New exciting discoveries for scientific challenges will be picked up along the line of progress and executed in new research programs. We will partner up with all the world initiatives that think alike, that offer network capacity, access or knowledge to be shared. Humankind is ready for this quantum leap. We are too.

The “Europe of Tomorrow” challenge

What will happen to Europe (or USA for that matter)? Will we find ways to remain united or will we fall apart again. Will history repeat itself or ……?

The Euro? Will is remain a strong currency or will it die a rapid death after just over a decade of its existence? Will we remain living in centralized urban structures? Or will food dependencies create a new exodus to the country side? Or will we learn how to create eatable cities? What is the role of money, business enterprises, governance, science, education in our Europe of Tomorrow?

All these questions will pop up in the minds of the European student teams when they play the game “entrepreneur of your own life” with the challenge to propose their own future for Europe.

It will not be easy for them to make up their mind. They will be challenged by the existing institutional powers which will try to “sell” them their own current world views. Scientists will provide contrasting information while visionary intellectuals will walk around and speak in public about society, risks and chances. But out of all this the students will have to make up their own mind, their own vision and present it to the world.

Will they go for a technology driven world full of robots or green self sufficient do it yourself culture? Will they go for a global solution of a patchwork of fragmented communities? Or both?

The public presentation of all teams on 15.12.12 will tell. But between idealism and realization there is often still a confrontation with present day reality. 2013 will surely be used to make steps to bridge those realities and make things happen, not because institutions want this but our upcoming generation. They will stand in the middle of everything and will get support of the wise elderly who will use their knowledge and networked influences to make change happen. This may be what the Mayas anticipated when they made their calender: a new beginning on 12.12.12, not by war or disaster but human awareness, youthfull creativity and the applied wisdom of the 5th dimension.

Personally I am looking forward to it very, very much.

PS. Just realized that this my 100th post!

Humankind, crises and sustainocracy

Nicolette Meeder (The STIR Academy – teaching sustainocracy) asked me to draw and explain the two lines of human complexities so that she could film it. It is generally believed that people tend to understand a verbal and visual explanation better than when just reading about it. We found a nice location nearby in Eindhoven (Holland): the 11th century watermill that was painted in 1884 by Vincent van Gogh and made world famous since then.

For your comfort I recorded the same short message in three languages:

  • The TO DO line stands for level of organization, knowledge, structure, group activities, inventions, institutionalization, action, etc. It is refered to as a masculine line (Yang).
  • The TO BE line stands for level of spirituality, awareness, consciousness, reflection, morality, cohesion, purpose, etc. It is refered to as a feminine line (Yin).

Both lines interact equally producing sustainable progress as we see in families and need to bring structurally into communities. If we don’t we will face cyclic moments of wealth and chaos.

While sitting there enjoying the beautiful weather, the wind, the trees and the beauty of ancient human ingenuity it is difficult to imagine that we are all capable of destroying it all out of greed and lack of consciousness. It reminded me of my second blog, on november 2nd 2008 (nearly 100 blog items away now and still very relevant) stating that the credit crisis was just the beginning of a huge human challenge but not of nature.

It is equally difficult to understand that we need to take personal responsibility to make a difference and cannot rely on institutions that have developed into blown up, destructive, fragmented human structures that give us money in exchange for our labor to uphold their destructive existence. We call this “work” and need the financial means to “live”. Due to our dependence on “money” we may become aware that this work in institutions is potentially destroying our life but we are forced to continue if we want to survive the short term. This is  a crazy paradox.

I introduced Sustainocracy some time ago to position institutional activities in the field of sustainable human progress. This requires executives to make a choice of responsibility. “What do they take responsibility for?”, their CV as a destructive old paradigm manager or the CV as institutional transformer through personal leadership? Sustainocracy helps them because they cannot take responsibility for the entire human progress from within a fragmented institutional specialization. They need to take responsibility together with other, different, institutional responsibilities in a co-creative, non competitive, purpose drive environment.

When that occurs everything changes. People who are employed will not go to work anymore. They will contribute to the human progress that the company stands for in its sustainocratic ventures. Success is not measured in KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) but in true improvement in human health, stability, safety, etc performed by all participants together and each being rewarded for their specific part in the progression.

Some people ask me why human beings need to progress? My answer is that we need to adapt continuously to our ever changing environment. Every change induces new changes which make us change again. This fundamental and necessary alertness to adaptive to ever changing circumstances can be filled with wisdom, awareness and innovation. We call that progress because we learn over time to do this better. Our mission is not to eliminate change from our lives through control but live with change effectively through awareness and consciousness. Then we will progress in a sustainable manner.
