Why we cannot rely on the majority for sustainable progress
This TED presentation explains why 97% of humanity is mainstream driven, no matter what. It is extreemly difficult to step out of that box of the established normatives that we tend to develop our autopilots in. Sustainocracy however settles in the 3%, meaning that we always look at change as a constant, in order to adjust to ever changing circumstances. It is not the box that fixes our thinking, it is our sustainable human core values that do, as a everlasting challenge for sustainable human evolution.
Invitation to create your own local Peace event around our global Peace event on July 9th
On July 9th a worldwide Jazz Event will be held in Abuja, Nigeria. This event will be streamed live worldwide to those partners in our network that wish to share our message of Peace and shared responsibilities around core human and natural values.

What could your local event look like?
You could make agreements with a local bar, a restaurant or theater, to invite local citizens to your event. During the event you organize local talks with key messages of shared responsibilities for sustainable human progress. You receive the streaming link (at 8€ cost of participation) with which you can show the entire musical event to your own public. It is up to you if you add elements like food and drinks to your own event and like that cover your local costs. You would need a large screen and a good internet connection to be able to stream the show. The rest of the setting is entirely up to you.
STIR is partner to extend our human centered way of working with complex issues and the ethics of our shared responsibilities. We also suggest to network the initiatives, not only for the 9th of July, but also for the development of possible future programs together. Please drop a note to jp@stadvanmorgen.com if you like to join the network.
Our image of a culture is not always based on reality
Prejudism is a horrible human factor that creates many unnecessary conflicts, fears and misunderstandings. If we want a peaceful, progressive world we should eliminate prejudism through curiosity about the other, dialogue and and open mind.
On April 20th at 17:00 we organize our 4th online Peace gathering. We will highlight 7 different cultures from all around the world. What do we know about these cultures? Where does our knowledge or lack thereof come from? Do all the Dutch walk on wooden shoes? Are all the Germans villans as they make us believe in American Hollywood movies? Do people in Africa live in clay houses and wear grass skirts? Do all Chinese eat Sushi? Is Brussels the Netherlands? Let us meet with reality and admire the beauty of the cultures around the world instead of judging or fearing them, often based on nonsense and misinformation.
