Who cares?
According Dr. Lovelock we will count a human population of only one billion on earth in 50 years time. Right now we are 6.7 billion and growin. What killed such magnitude of people in such sort period of time?
Wars among people for basic resources s.a. water and food
Natural dissasters caused by climat changes, influenced by the humans
But who cares? This is something to deal with for our kids. All we need to deal with is to assure they get a material herritage and that we never have finacial shortage. But this herritage we pass on is actually lethal for our kids.
About time we start to care, really!
No hierarchy, no salaries, no leadership yet successful?
In Holland the City of Tomorrow is a foundation that unites business identities around a common challenge: sustainability. Unique about the organization is that it grows and grows, takes on huge challenges and gains a lot of prestigue but:
Lacks salaries, or leadership, or hierarchy.

Cycles of crises
Humanity has moved from crises to crises all the time. In fact in times of crises the best inventions are done. We need a crisis to evolve, to move forward. Without it we would still be living in the woods or in caves trying to catch our food in the wilderness. In fact our lifes move cyclic, individually but also together.
- The awareness cycle
Our challenge is to learn how to handle this cyclic path, individually and as a group (society or as a business community). A timefragment on the circle is called “culture”. By valueing the circle and recognizing points of measurements we can learn how to control and move it to our benefit. In the stone-age a cycle would last a few thousand years. After the fall of the Roman Empire we have seen chaos for many hundreds of years. Now we may be able to go through it in a few decades.
