A healthy city

During Dutch Design Week 2026 in Eindhoven we designed an experience for people around our “Healthy City” approach. We did this through the spirit of Sustainocracy, purely based on cocreation, without the involvement of money. The sum of uniquely engaged talented people made the impossible possible, the invisible visible

Visitors are guided through a 3 step corridor with meaningful awareness triggers:

1. Self awareness as a unique, living human entity.

People enter a cublical. The message here is: “Inside this space you will find the most valuable in the rest of your life”. The people react in suprise when they find the cubical to be totally empty. But it is not empty. It indeed contains the most important. Which is the person him or herself.

The message here is that we tend to forget what we really are as we are forced into the behavior of a consuming, robotized puppet in a political financial performance system. We come to be inspired by information and external triggers. And the we are confronted with the minimalistic nothingness around is which brings us back into the only maximised issue that remains: a large heap of living molecules that represents our unique selves.

After that experience we look at reality in a different way. We let go of the forced influences of our surroundings and meet again with our emotional and spiritual self. We are now ready for the next step.

2. Reintegration with nature

We are now ready to understand that we ARE nature. That nature provides us with everything we are made of and that what we need to live and evolve. Instead of abusing nature out of immoral interests we need to work together symbiotically with nature directly for our sustainable existence.

3. Reintegration with each other

With these two wisdoms we come back together into the environment to cocreate our wellness and community spirit together as active, motivated, creative and caring chuman beings and citizens. Because together we make 1 plus 1 much more that 2.
